GTAV editor & Freeroam events DLC information

Hello everyone!

Rockstar Games are giving us all another fantastic free DLC but this time it's not the usual extra cars and guns, it's giving players access to a range of seaminglessly integrated games and challenges on Freeroam, 2 new adversary modes and the rockstar editor! I've seen a lot of people moaning about this DLC due on September 15th, I find it very strange how people can moan when a company continues to give out free DLC's 2 years into its release. There will be no menus, lobbies, or load times , just an open Freemode session filled with Friends, Crewmates, and/or randoms where spontaneous new games and challenges will appear.

The events can begin at any time while in Freemode, and you can also customize your session to choose which ones will happen to enable you to play as much or as little of this new content as you'd like. There is tonnes of new experiences, each offering new opportunities for reaping GTA$ and RP.

The Rockstar Editor to PS4 & Xb1 with new features (also being added for current PC users as well) such as an ambient audio and sound effects library, Snapmatic integration, Director Mode updates and more.

The Adversary Modes are

Hunting Pack: you’re part of a team tasked to deliver a priority vehicle rigged to explode if it drops below a minimum speed, while your opponents race, ram and batter to take it down.

Cross the Line, where heavily armed squads face off across a neutral zone  with the goal of having all team members strategically penetrate their opponents territory to claim victory

Some of the new free roam challenges will include:

Causing most destruction, longest jump, longest skydive, longest wheelie, lowest parachute deploy, longest bail from vehicle, furthest distance low flying, performing the most near misses in a vehicle without crashing, and much more!

Checkpoints.  120 checkpoints spawn in a quadrant of the map. Players compete to collect the most in the given time limit. This mode comes in two variants: land & sea checkpoints and air checkpoints.

Criminal Damage   Rack up the biggest property damage bill you can before time runs out. Equipped your biggest weapons and go to town on anything and everything in sight.

Dead Drop  A briefcase is blipped for players to collect and deliver to a location. Players compete for the chance to deliver the briefcase.

Hold the Wheel. A target vehicle is blipped on the map for 5 minutes. Players compete to be the one in the vehicle when the timer expires.

Hot Property   Players compete to control possession of a blipped briefcase. The longer you have it, the more points you earn.

Hunt the Beast   One volunteer will be temporarily transformed into a faster and stronger beast, the other players team up to kill the beast before it can collect 10 checkpoints scattered around the world within the time limit. The beast is invisible on the mini map save for whenever it collects a checkpoint, which will cause it to blip for 10 seconds (and increasing in duration with each checkpoint collected).

Kill List    A vehicle is blipped on the map, once the requisite number of players enter they must take out as many waves of enemies as possible.

Kill List Competitive   Same as above, but multiple vehicles are blipped and players compete against each other to rack up the most kills in the given time limit.

King of the Castle  Every man for himself turf war where you’ll need to ascend and claim the designated ‘castle’ as your territory – and then fend off everyone else as they go all out to dethrone you.

Moving Target    A vehicle is blipped on the map, the first player to deliver it to the marked destination wins.

Penned In   A vehicular free for all to stay inside an moving and shrinking dome. If you’re caught outside the dome for more than a few seconds you’ll blow up and be eliminated from the competition.

Time Trial    Where players can try to beat the Rockstar par time and world record on a route that changes weekly.

For those of you who are on old Gen consoles this is what Rockstar have said on this "The Freemode Events Update is only for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. As we’d mentioned previously in our Asked & Answered series here at the Newswire (http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52429/asked-answered-the-rockstar-editor-gta-online-updates),future content updates like this one would only be possible on the newer and more powerful systems."

Prif gaming

Prif or Preferential Accessories is a new gaming accessory company that is bringing a fresh and exciting range of products to the market for 2015 and beyond. Their products are not vapourware, they are real, and will be at Gamescon 2015. The team at Prif are all experienced players in the accessory in video games market and they're bringing their personal experiences, both good and bad together to create a new way of bringing products to the market.

Prif know people buy accessories for their function, and so their philosophy is to start with function and then to find a form of which best represents it, protects it whilst still being visually pleasing. Prif learnt that doing it the other way around leads to poor products with the function sometimes being completely overlooked.

Prif is bringing to market a complete range of products from headsets to gaming chairs, with chargers and thumbsticks available too.

ShapeUpon contact with the community manager at Prif he stated that; "We hope and expect to be in many major retailers but we will also be launching with our own store, from prif.co.uk from the get go. No "store launching soon" messages on our website for months at a time. The store will stock their products but also a selected range from other companies." Prif quote, "good products and good solutions should be celebrated who ever they are from and we are happy to offer customers a range."

Here are Prifs social media and website details, feel free to check them out:

Venom Gaming Wireless Headset XT+ review

Hey guys,

This is my review for Venoms wireless vibration XT+ headset. For the last few days I've been personally using this headset to give my full and honest opinion on it.
This headset is completely universal - Compatible with PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and Mac.

Ok, so in the box is the headset, the transponder unit, 3 cables and a user guide with troubleshooting manual for Xbox one and PS4.

Visually it's a great looking device, the venom logo glows red on each ear cup which really pops against the black.

There is a significant amount of padding and support in the adjustable headband and inner surrounding 40mm ear cups, which makes this headset super comfy and will easily withstand a good binge gaming session!

The headband can be adjusted by about 1.5 inch on either side to enable the perfect fit and maximum comfort.

The top of the headband also has an awesome large bright clear venom logo.

The transponder unit is a great shape and design I really think it looks good amongst your set ups, not too bulky. The headset also has a 10m wireless range so I can go and grab snacks and come back and no one would even know! 😜

The transponder unit is connected via an optical cable and a usb cable for power.
The set up for this is really simple, which again is a great feature as you can be up and running within minutes! The optical cable then goes into the console direct and the usb goes to the USB port on the console or PC. Then a third cable is provided to charge the headset. This USB is simply plugged into the bottom of the ear cup and goes direct to your console or PC. Charging takes around 2-3 hours and it will give you quality crisp sound for roughly 5 hours. Another great feature is the indicator light on the ear cup will let you know if the battery is running low.

The microphone is fully adjustable and has excellent sound clarity. It delivers a very clear crisp sound and doesn't seem to pick up much surrounding sounds or movement sounds. It can be detached for when you don't need the microphone.

The ear cups have easy access slider control bars to allow you to control the in game chat sound and game sound separately, which is a really good feature as not many headsets offer the both sound controls. There is also the ability to turn up or down the vibrations.
When I thought of a vibrating headset I personally was very curious of how it would work, I imagined my eyeballs vibrating in my sockets lol but the vibrations are very subtle. They just create a more immersive experience.

So overall this headset is a great addition to my gaming equipment. It is also very good value for money as it retails at around £39.99!! I would definitely recommend this device!

My husband @Gary_87 has done an unboxing and review on this headset and here's the link - http://youtu.be/f-AyP6OpPM8
